When Robbie Robertson left The Band, Jim Weider stepped in to fill his place with amazing guitar skills and a way better attitude. Weider lays down the Telecaster sound better than anyone. I’ve seen Jim play three times and each one was something akin to sitting in the midst of a musical explosion. There were notes flying around like shrapnel, and a shockwave of rhythm and soul that emanated from the stage. Weider goes from hard driving honky-tonkin’ blues one minute, to slow soulful serenades the next in a manner that is sure to impress blues aficionados. Don’t miss Remedy. -Timothy Jones
