Support for Obamacare Repeal Reaches Highest Levels Yet – Daniel Foster, National Review
Nancy Pelosi told Americans they had to pass Obamacare before they could find out what’s in it. Now it’s passed and Americans aren’t overjoyed with what they have found. In fact, 63% of Americans want the bill repealed. – Dick Young
A Non-Cranky Defense of the Gold Standard – Avik Roy, National Review
The dollar is being abused by a government that sees greater spending as a method to enable its political constituencies. The Radical Progressive Movement, and the neocons before them, will use America’s resources to achieve their own ends, not those of the American people. – Dick Young
Obamacare on Life Support – Maggie Piggot, Human Events
The Obama administration rushed to push Obamacare on America as quickly as possible. The president and his supporters wanted to hide the administrative costs, and the real impact of the bill from Americans, and not allow them to see what they were getting. Nancy Pelosi told Americans the bill had to be passed before they could find out what was in it. Now that it is passed, Americans are getting the picture. The bill will increase spending by $311 billion over the next decade. That added spending will increase the deficits which President Obama promised would remain “neutral.” – Dick Young
The War Over America’s Past – Pat Buchanan, American Conservative Magazine
Teaching America’s children about America without a liberal spin is a good goal. The Texas board that has made changes to textbooks to reverse decades of liberal bias is right in doing so. – Dick Young
Cap and Flee – Review & Outlook, The Wall Street Journal
California’s own cap and trade program has been an abject failure, and the CA agency responsible for judging its success has said that it will only get worse. Now the state is trying to get other western states to join it in regulating CO2, but most will have none of it. If the states are the laboratories of democracy, let the federal government learn the lesson that cap and trade is a failed experiment. – Dick Young
The House Divided – Andrew C. McCarthy, National Review
The Democrats in Congress stood up to applaud Mexican president Felipe Calderon when he lambasted Arizona’s new immigration laws. Democrats weren’t content to allow this type of anti-American rhetoric in the Capitol, but they encouraged it. The mask has been taken off on the Democrats’ anti-American views. Who exactly do these congressmen and senators represent? – Deborah Young
