Young Kagan’s Thesis on Socialism – Daniel Foster, National Review
Kagan’s writings show a generous dose of fondness for socialism, and a contempt for capitalism. She cannot be counted on to represent the American constitution on the Supreme Court. Her fundamental ideals seem to be skewed hard to the left, a progressive of the same ilk as Barack Obama. Does some one with such obvious fondness for socialism over capitalism belong on the high court? If so, what has America become? – Dick Young
Vets Blast Kagan Nomination – Michelle Oddis, Human Events
Kagan’s obvious misinterpretation of the Solomon Amendment puts her nomination to the court in question. If Kagan knows so little about the law she gets beaten at the court 8-0, can she really be worthy of sitting on the bench? The idea though, for Barack Obama and the Radical Progressive Movement is not to put someone on the bench who will interpret the law as it is written, but to put someone on the bench who will use the law to push forward the progressive agenda. All signs so far point to Elena Kagan being just such a person. – Dick Young
A Vote for Kagan Is a Vote for Gay Marriage – Maggie Gallagher, National Review
Senators from the bible belt and the Christian conservative right-wing are going to have a hard time explaining a confirmation vote for Elena Kagan to their constituencies. Those in the bible belt don’t want to see even a hint of forward movement regarding same sex marriage and the Supreme Court, so an Elena Kagan nomination could wind up doing for some Senators what TARP did for Bob Bennet in Utah this week, retiring them. – Dick Young
