There are five days left until Americans get to elect new representation. One race that is a must win for conservatives is the West Virginia senatorial election between Joe Manchin (D) and John Raese (R). Raese is the common sense conservative in the race, while Manchin has been running hard against his past record (flip-flopping essentially). Manchin has turned on his Democratic leadership in a desperate attempt to convince West Virginians that he doesn’t support Barack Obama.
When you have to run against your own record, Americans are sure to pick up on the fact that you’re being a bit disingenuous and that is exactly what West Virginians are feeling about Manchin. Support John Raese for Senate.
There are three things each candidate you vote for should be talking about this fall: cutting spending, lowering tax rates, and balancing the budget. If you aren’t hearing that form a candidate, they don’t deserve your vote. One man who will absolutely pursue these three goals is Pat Toomey. As the former CEO of the Club for Growth, Toomey is laser-focused on cutting spending in Washington, lowering taxes for a business friendly environment, and balancing budgets. Support Pat Toomey for Senate.
In Washington, conservatives have the first real chance in over a decade to oust Patty Murray and gain real representation in the Senate. Dino Rossi is polling within the margin of error against Murray. Rossi is a common sense conservative looking to cut spending at the federal level.
