In my conversations with you, you’re telling me you liked Your Survival Guy Presents to Prestigious Med School. I turned it into a Special Report: How To Invest After Graduating College so you can give it to someone you care about who’s just starting out with their career. If you haven’t read the piece, you can read it here: Excerpts from my Wednesday presentation to recent grads and associates of an esteemed NYC med school.
I love hearing from you. This week I’m choosing two emails to share with you because of their unique perspectives: One from a doctor client remembering when he first started out, and another from a client who was in the investment business.
This one below from a renowned doctor client who spent a career on the front lines helping patients survive and thrive—no easy task for sure—but figuring out the business side? He writes:
Enjoyed reading your Med School presentation summary. As an aside, we had 2 days of ‘how to’ run your own medical practice at the end of my residency!
This next one is from a successful, retired client who made his living helping investors just like you.
Hi EJ:
I read your graduation address from beginning to end. I hope they all heard every word because it was right on. While working for A. G. Edwards as a broker/manager for 28 years I always opted for maximum contribution from my paycheck to their 401k plan. They had a generous match and invested in American Mutual Funds. There were times when I received my net check that I wondered why I had such a small check after having a good month of production. That helped me to not think I was making lots of money so I did not spend like I was rich.
Investing in A. G. Edwards stock also worked out well as I occasionally sold shares to pay college tuitions and wedding expenses for our 4 daughters. Plus buy a townhouse in the mountains. Now I am retired (21 years) and living life with the secure feeling that I will never have to worry about running out of money in our lifetime.
Said it before and saying it again we are forever grateful for the wonderful gift of finding RCY Ltd. to manage our retirement IRA. Thanks for helping us live the good life that we never dreamed would happen for us.
Warmest regards,
Your Client
