You have read plenty about my time spent at Le Bristol Hotel in Paris (see links below). My favorite music while there is this collection of Jean-Marie Leclair violin concertos played by Fabio Biondi and his Europa Galante ensemble. Leclair was born in 1697 and worked as a composer and violinist in royal courts and private salons in Europe until his murder by stabbing in 1764. Biondi’s version of Leclair’s concertos isn’t as widely known as his very popular recording of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons (also performed with Europa Galante), but I enjoy it immensely.
