Introduction:
The forty-fifth president of the United States, Donald J. Trump, like Ronald Reagan, is an admirer of former president Andrew (the beloved “Old Hickory”) Jackson.
Hillsdale College (a #1 favorite of mine) professor of history and The Russell Amos Kirk Chair in American Studies at Hillsdale College Bradley J. Birzer, has written the definitive book, titled In Defense of Andrew Jackson, on an American icon all “Americans will rush to like free beer at a Patriots game.”
Progressives and associated media lackeys will howl foul. It will be fun to watch the group implode, much as the same crowd, now red hot with anger over the legendary Victor Davis Hanson’s pace setting new book The Case for Trump.
Andrew Jackson, the “Peoples’ President”
President Trump has placed a portrait of ‘Old Hickory” in the Oval Office.
President Jackson expanded benefits for veterans and slapped tariffs on foreign countries to protect America’s workers.
I am just getting started on Professor’s Birzer’s long awaited and seminal look at Andrew Jackson, one of America’s most endearing patriots.
More to come.
