Can Republicans Win the Senate in 2010? – Fred Barnes, Weekly Standard
Republicans have a shot at taking the Senate in 2010. It’s a long shot in my opinion, but they will surely pick up seats and pad the minority they have now to gain extra strength in filibusters. Imagine five more conservatives in the senate. The conservative wing of the GOP wouldn’t have to rely on Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, John McCain, Lindsey Graham, or Scott Brown. No matter what happens in 2010, conservatives will be empowered. – Timothy Jones
Voters vs. George Soros – Review & Outlook, The Wall Street Journal
As if it weren’t bad enough that Center for American Progress is essentially running the White House, another George Soros funded program Justice at Stake, is attempting to disenfranchise the people of Missouri. In a coordinated attack by the radical progressive movement to keep their hold on power, Soros and company are doing anything and everything to make sure their surrogates remain in control of the state’s levers of power. Missourians want to elect their own judges, rather than have Soros backed lawyers groups do it for them. Perhaps we should apply the election model to the Supreme Court, I doubt Elena Kagan would fair well in any election. – Dick Young
