Big States Dilute Tea-Party Strength – Stu Woo and Jim Carlton, The Wall Street Journal
The only candidates conservatives should be voting for in the Nevada and California Senate races are Danny Tarkanian and Chuck DeVore respectively. – Dick Young
Rubio Rises, Again – Robert Costa, National Review
Marco Rubio is surging back towards the top in the polls in Florida. It was only a matter of time when his focused shifted from the primary campaign. Independent voters are now getting their first glimpses of Rubio and are abandoning the Crist ship in favor of Marco’s. – Dick Young
Pelosi’s Loss Could Be Obama’s Gain – Fred Barnes, The Wall Street Journal
It is naïve of Fred Barnes to believe that President Obama desires GOP control of the House. The idea that Obama wants to pivot to center in order to win the 2012 election is laughable. There has been no more liberal president than Obama, save possibly FDR, and there is absolutely no desire in him to balance budgets, or even appear to be fiscally conservative. Obama is aiming to satiate his base, a base that wants more income redistribution. If he can get his base to show up at the polls by buying votes with handouts, he won’t need to balance any budget. – Timothy Jones
