Help Elect the Next Scott Brown – Newt Gingrich, Human Events
The special election to fill the late John Murtha’s congressional seat in Pennsylvania’s 12th District will be a great preview of the November 2010 general elections. Tim Burns, the GOP candidate, is running against Mark Critz, a Democrat. Pennsylvanians are looking for the candidate they feel will be the greatest agent for change in Washington. The esteemed Cook Political Report rated the election as Lean Republican yesterday, showing that Pennsylvanians are veering away from their decades of support for Murtha and looking toward some new blood. Critz was a Murtha staffer and can be considered simply more of the same, while Burns is a successful businessman who has actually created jobs in the district. The election is May 18. – Dick Young
