Victor Davis Hanson calls Hunter Biden’s relationship with his father, President Joe Biden, “strange, abusive.”
Being drug-addled and barely capable of functioning at an adult level, Hunter was nonetheless dispatched by Joe to offer up “business interests” and “consulting” for politicians and businessmen of foreign countries known for their corruption.
Hunter only had to utilize his last name as a door opener. After that, the business he conducted was centered around access to his father, the sitting vice president of the United States, and at his bequest. You know, “the big guy.”

In what VDH calls the final irony, Joe Biden may pardon a gaggle of cronies who will not be indicted by the Trump Department of Justice but who, “by acceptance of such exemption, will remind the American people of their culpability if not criminality.”
It is likely Anthony Fauci lied under oath about his role in subsidizing illicit and undeniable gain-of-function virology research in communist China.
Clearly violating his oath of office as an advisor to the president, Gen. Mark Milley ordered theater and unit commanders first to report directly to himself in supposed existential crises rather than to the Secretary of Defense.
Most Americans would deem it actionable for a chairman of the Joint Chiefs to stealthily contact his Chinese communist, People’s Liberation Army counterpart in order to warn him about the supposedly unstable nature of his own president and commander-in-chief and thus to assure the Chinese that American officers would nullify any presidential directives that they themselves diagnosed as improper.
Then we have the bureaucratic grandees John Brennan, James Clapper, and Andrew McCabe—all current media-paid consultants. Each admittedly lied either under congressional oath or to federal investigators and did so with complete exemption.
Donald Trump’s becoming the 47th president will remind Americans what zealots in the image of Progressivism did to America.
