President Donald Trump has fired what he called the “woke leftist ideologues” on the Boards of Visitors at the academies of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard. Newsmax’s Eric Mack reports:
President Donald Trump’s massive reform of the U.S. government has continued Monday, as he announced efforts to root out “woke leftist ideologues” from U.S. military service academies.
“Our Service Academies have been infiltrated by Woke Leftist Ideologues over the last four years,” Trump wrote Monday morning on Truth Social, announcing firings.
“I have ordered the immediate dismissal of the Board of Visitors for the Army, Air Force, Navy, and Coast Guard.
“We will have the strongest Military in History, and that begins by appointing new individuals to these Boards. We must make the Military Academies GREAT AGAIN!”
Trump vowed to rip the “woke” out of the U.S. military and has led a massive reform effort to reduce the size and influence of many U.S. government institutions. Newly installed Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has also vowed to reform the Pentagon and restore “lethality” as the core focus of the U.S. military.
“We welcome DOGE at DOD,” Hegseth said in a Sunday morning TV interview.
“We will partner with them, and it’s long overdue. The Defense Department’s got a huge budget, but it needs to be responsible.”
