Just as then-Senator Joe Biden predicted back in 1991, during the Anita Hill/Clarence Thomas fiasco, the FBI found nothing. In Biden’s words the “FBI explicitly does not, in this or any other case, reach a conclusion, period. Period. It’s time for the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh. The country needs to move forward so he can join his colleagues on the Supreme Court at least before the arguments set to begin on October 29, if not during the arguments that have already begun.
The procedural vote was made today, and the fence-sitting Sens. Flake, Manchin and Collins voted to move forward. Now the stage is set. This weekend the Senate will have the opportunity to put an outstanding jurist on the Supreme Court. Let’s hope they don’t fail the American people.
Confirm Kavanaugh.
